First the title sounded really tacky and I have no idea what the drama was all about. If it was another TvN romantic comedy story, I seriously just gonna pass. What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim was good though it was a bit over the top and silly. But it was good.
But man, this one, is like a combination of WWWSK and Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food. Ok maybe the percentage is more like 70% – 30%, but that 30% what makes me love the drama even more. At first I feel like it was just some silly rom-com drama so I skipped some scenes bc really I just wanna see Park Min Young and this guy (i forgot his name). I did like him in Temperature of Love but I did not expect to love him pairing with PMY in Her Private Life.
Well I liked it even more when they started their fake relationship and then how PMY being a fangirl was very relatable. And then she suddenly has a crush on this guy she is fake-dating, and how she is currently head over heel with him. Even her idol couldn’t take her eyes off this fake-boyfriend. I so feel youuuuuuuu!!
Plus, this Ryan (the character’s name) is not eye-candy and he is simply a handsome-looking guy and not the usual cheesy jambu-looking kpop guy. If you watch how PMY swoon over him when she is crushing on her, I have the exact same expression. Damn. He is. Totally. Super. Hot.
*holding breath
Alright, so I just finished watching the CUTEST! the most ROMANTIC! though a bit CRINGE-WORTHY episode ever! but still, I’m wishing to be in PMY’s shoes. *sigh. It was a very mature kind of relationship for Rom-com Kpop history ever. I died, my heart literally popped a few times while watching the whole of episode 10 even without the subtitles. Okay, fair enough, I understand most of the conversation. If not, I might not enjoy it as much as I do without understanding it. It’s their content of the conversation that made it sweeter, relatable and more romantic.
Conclusion: This drama is suitable for a 27-something woman to enjoy fluffy romance maturely who doesn’t like the lead to look so jambu.
